Well my laptop keyboard is playing up.

Whenever I press "u" it selects "u7"

I have no idea why this is happening and it is only a few months old, can't return it to the store because they have shut down.

Should I lift up the key to have a look?

Well there is a 2 year Asus warranty. Lifting the key won't void the warranty.
It's more of the case of damaging the key.

It's possible they'd class the breakage of said key as user damage so may not provide a warranty replacement for the issue if it doesn't fix it and does end up needing replacement.

Try calling Asus, apparently their laptop support is pretty good.

Right, I'm leaving the keys alone then.

Thanks for the help.

see how much it would cost to buy a new keyboard for your laptop they are dead easy to replace basicly.

theres usually a bezel strip just above the keyboard that pops off and 4 screws underneath hold the keyboard inplace.

the keyboard pulls off and is connected by a wide flat cable

Can't seem to find a keyboard for my laptop, only place I found a replacement part was on a European website, about £40.

Just found this video

I'm pretty sure if I did the above it will indefinitely void the warranty.
