Laptop - Lost Wi-Fi Ability

I have a laptop which is just over two years old, custom built from an OCUK competitor (I should know better and trusted OCUK instead!). The built in Wi-Fi has ceased to function, not coming up with the signal indicator on the console (orange LED) and not picking up the adapter in the Control Panel or on the Taskbar.

I've checked the chassis to see if there's a switch accidentally turned off but can't see anything. I've tried using the Function key with the Wi-Fi icon on the appropriate key but that doesn't switch anything on.

Does that mean the Wi-Fi is borked or is there anything else I can try? As a temporary measure I've plugged in an old wireless adapter to a USB socket but that's not going to be as fast as the built in card.

Solved - There was a slider switch on lower front LH side of chassis which had somehow become moved to the "Off" position aka user error. Switch restored and Wi-Fi back up and running.
