Hi guys I need a cheap notebook just the bear bones have software just need to run an accounts package on it

BUDGETT very little money as I have spent my money on the desk top pc so as little as pos would be good

Can you build lap tops? Is it cheaper? Please help

THANKS BEN

Building a laptop is very expensive and extremely hard to do, not a good idea.

Best bet is a cheap second hand one, but since i can't advise you on that, i'll offer another option.

If you choose the cheapest dell laptop ( in home essentials ) you can get it delivered for under £400. You won't do much better unless you go second hand,of course.

I thought that, but is it really a competitor for laptops ? OCUK only sell a few out of date asus ones. I also thought the rules have been relxed a little around here, as i have seen competitors mentioned a few times.

Sorry mods if i am wrong.

What is your actual budget, you can get loads of cheap laptops. Celeron, Turion, Core2Duo, CoreDuo.... you get one for £300 which could probably run your accounts package.

Are there any specific requirements for the package? Such as it having a floppy drive like a lot of the older sage packages need.
