Laptop memory allocation

A friend's laptop is the following spec:

Pentium M 1.5GHz, 504MB RAM, Intel 915GM/910GML Express Chipset Family etc

Am I correct to assume that 8MB of system memory (512MB) has been allocated to video?

If so, how would he dedicate say 64MB of system memory to video?

Depends. AFAIK, some of the newer ones dynamically allocate GFX memory depending on what is in use.
Otherwise, it should either be accesible through the BIOS or the Intel Extreme Graphics applet in control panel. (Depends on model)
