Laptop memory help

I have an acer aspire 7520 and iam desperate to upgrade the memory on it because its so slow, the problem is i can't find any info what what ram it can accept. I know it can take 4 gb but i don't know what speed it can handle or what is best for it.
Can anyone shine any light on the problem

Best place to find out is www.crucial.com/uk as they have a tool advisor that scan your pc and say what it can takes.

Then of course buy from here as the prices will be cheaper

I ran the test and the results were as follows.
Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-6400,DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2GB per slot.*

I am unsure which speed would be better value for money but 256mb is taken up by the graphics chip to start with.

Hi gash,
The 6400 ram , is the fastest of the 2, have a look at some 2x2gb kits, giving you the most ram you laptop can take and at the fastest speed.
