Laptop Memory Question

Easy question this (I hope) I accidentally bought a single 2GB module for my wifes laptop instead of 2 x 1GB modules. Its a Dell Inspiron 6400 and the maximum it can take is 2GB.

The question is, can I get away with using a single module instead of two and if so are there any disadvantages??

Well I have to admit, the main reason Im upgrading is because I play Warcraft on it now and again. Runs alright really but I think it would benefit hugely from more RAM.
