I had a strange issue, i have been using my laptop for 2 years without issue then suddenly blue screens. I get the blue screen codes indication that it is memory so i remove 1 module and now all is good.

Is the failure rate of memory higher in laptops?

Also, i'm looking at getting a new 2GB module, any recommendations for DD2 5300?

I'm guessing because it's so compact in a laptop compared to a desktop, the RAM heats up to higher temperatures. So it probably does make them more prone to failing.
