Laptop memory.

My HP Pavilion DV6-1210SA laptop uses DDR2 PC6400 800mhz ram and i was wondering if all ram of this spec is compatible. I cannot find anything on the HP website stating otherwise but i don't want to be buying any non compatible memory.
One pc component website shows HP memory in it's list but this is twice the cost of others listed. Is this just inflated price of the brand or what???

Shouldnt have any problems using any brand of memory.

I always just use the cheapest I can find.

I would prefer to contact HP support and ask them for recommendation.

HP are going to tell you that you need to buy HP branded memory which is not true, I have upgraded thousands of laptops and never had any compatibility issues.
