Laptop needed for photo and home video editing £700ish

Hi guys, when it comes to hardware I was a desktop man, and I have not built a PC for 10 years so am out of the loop on tech.

The old Lenovo laptop I have is fine for web browsing and household accounting, but when I try and create holiday slideshows including short videos, it just isn't up to the job.

Even trying to preview my project is beyond this machine, so I just gave to encode the project overnight and hope for the best the next morning.

Please can I have some suggestions on a half decent replacement?

If you have a look around there are some really good priced Asus Vivobooks with good screen, i7 processor and RTX 4050, can pick this up within your budget. Build quality is decent on the Vivobook

Did you find any deals in the end? This is the kind of system/budget I'm looking for at the moment!
