Looking for a quite high spec laptop (1gb RAM) that has touchscreen capabilities - NOT one that uses a stylus. This is for a child where i work. Would really appreciate suggestions while i google around. :)

Thanks for the links, already a member on icttechnician.com ,looking at the edugeek one though..it's forums are a mess, couldnt navigate at all well - but will still join and ask there!

Budget is about £2-3k but i can only seem to find the industrial laptops/unbreakable ones...shame. It has to be like typical laptop (keyboard etc) but with touchscreen tech. Will keep looking/asking around.

They are awesome, and i hope to be kitting out our new ICT suite with them. Really very good - there's a review in this month's PC Pro.

have you considered a tablet pc or does it need a lid?

Edit: Doesn't need a lid as such, but must have a keyboard incorporated in to it...so i presume a lid would be standard if a keyboard is.

Tablet pc is the closest thing I can think of but afaik they all use a stylus.
