Hi guys
I'm getting a laptop for the missus to use but it's got to be able to do quite a few things and though I';m fairly well up on standard PC hardware, laptop versions totally befuddle me.![Frown :( :(](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/frown.gif)
She want's it to be able to:
Run Phtoshop CS3 smoothly when using multiple layers and possibly 100MB or so files.
Have a big clear (and colour accurate if possible) screen
Be able to run games like Oblivion smoothly (eek!)
Not sound like a spae shuttle taking off when it's working (like my four year old Toshiba does now!)
Weight isn't too much of an issue as it will only be used at home or maybe in the office sat on a desk so it doesn't matter if it's heavy.
Are certain brands better than others, for instance are one brand renowned for their screens or are they all much of a muchness?
Runs Windows XP if possible.
Oh and price...always a tricky one isn't it...I know it's not going to be cheap and I don't want to sacrifice quality for the sake of saving £60 going for a cheaper brand if it's more likely to fail but I'd like to keep it under £1000 (ex vat) if possible).
Many thanks for any suggestions!![Big Grin :D :D](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/biggrin.gif)
