laptop not picking up network connection wifi

ive never had this before, but for some reaaon the network is hidden and wont come up at my gfs place. ive tried all forms of solutions and adding manually adding it. It doesnt show up, but to others its fine
Why is the network hidden?

Ok, so can it see other networks, just not your GF's or is it no networks at all?

other networks show, yeh just not my gfs

Is the wifi WPA2 and your driver is old and does not support WPA2?

Go into wireless network manager and delete the network, reboot and it should show up.
