Laptop not starting

Which laptop is it ? Make/model number. Maybe able to find you the service manual for it and then do the troubleshooting checks on the manual to work out what part has gone and then you also have the part number to replace it with. Have you also tried clearing the BIOS on the laptop ? You can do that by shorting the bios reset pins or by removing the little cell battery for a few hours to be sure it's clear and of course don't have the main laptop battery plugged in to or the power supply.

This happened to me roughly a month ago, turned out the laptop just died. I'd recommend taking it to a shop or expert to check. Or if your warranty is still on, try getting it sorted that way.

Worst case scenario, the motherboard is dead. And considering the model of laptop you have was manufactured in 2012, the chances are there won't be replacement motherboards as they wouldn't manufacture them anymore. That was my situation with my MSI GT70, MSI stopped making that chipset, otherwise I'd have gotten a replacement mobo on my warranty. Also check your hard drives, my laptop took out the mechanical hard drive with it when it died.

If it is dead and you can't sort it out, I hope you have some cash saved. Then you can look forward to building a PC to replace it :)
