Laptop On TV

I have an s video cable connected to my laptop from my tv but i dont know how to get the picture to display on it. I have tried flicking through the av channels but there is still no picture. Is there a setting in windows i have to do?

Tried shutting the laptop lid? Sometimes i have to do it with mine.

I'm sure you have to press the FN + F key for this to work?

Each laptop model is different, but it's FN key, then press an F key that has a screen icon on it? (Have to press them together)
