Good morning,
I was all set to go out this morning and get myself a laptop but the thought of having a much more powerful pc for around the same price was in my head, So I have decided to see what I can get pc wise then compare it to he laptops i see today, I have a budget of 500 exc VAT for CPU,motherboard, ram, case and gfx card what would you guys reccommend I get. My uses are just going to be cod 4 and usual office e.t.c

Also is there a big difference between 9300m and 9600m?

when you say usual office, does that mean possibly needing to work when moving about? If it's work functionality like that you're after then obviously a laptop. Decent laptop warranties and support are invaluable when moving around..
If you know it'll just spend its existence sat in a room at home then get a Desktop PC. You'll get far better value for money overall (and far better performance in your games..)

I say get a SFF system or microATX case like the lian li V350 or V351, then you can build a decent system inside it and get a bigger monitor and it'll still be quite easy to move around if it's not that often. Plus, it will destroy any laptop at that price range considerably when it comes to performance.

Well I have a 23" LCD, Can you spec me somehibg please as I am on my phone and it's difficult to navigate overclockers on here.
Thanks
