Hi, ok my parents have asked me to look for a new laptop or very small computer for them.
it will be used for using microsoft office and browsing the internet.
they would prefer a laptop to save on space.
screen of around 15" and a budget of around £450 a SSD would be nice

any recommendations?

:)

I would get a Llano laptop. Or a Llano desktop :) But a laptop will be better imo. My mother never uses the desktop and prefers the freedom of a laptop, even though battery life is horrible on it. So I'd wait until Llano gets competitive.

FYI I have a UL30A and a SSD and it's brilliant. It is a 120GB SSD, and I wouldn't go below 80GB if that is the only drive in the machine. My usage with the laptop is sporadic, and is in no way a desktop replacement. So I don't need to store a lot of things on it, only what I need for my hols. Although 64GB isn't bad, your parent will have to look after what gets put in the laptop, and would probably need an external drive or something. All in all, I just don't think it's worth the hassle, and it's cutting into your budget unnecessarily.
