has anybody attempted to overclock there laptop??

I took a little peek in the bios of my laptop, i dint see any options to overclock it. I expected this, but is it possible to flash the bios of a laptop.

If it was what lengths would you go to get that heat out it. the simple to the insane welcome. :D

just ran prime on my laptop and it does get toasty, 82,80 on small fft after 15mins, that's hot

EDIT: i think i have just burnt a hole thought my trousers :p

i used the ati tool and clock gen on my laptop but on load even with a slight OC temps went from 68 to over 80 so not wise depending on the cooling :p

The only laptops that I am aware you can properly overclock the cpu are the xps m1710 and the m1730, with the extreme edition cpu (or G in the m1710)
The gpu on any laptop with a discreet card should be able to overclock with rivatuner or atitool.
