Laptop price trends

they've kinda bottomed out around the £270 - £299 mark for around the last year now, i cant see them goin any lower except for clearance and refurbed models, but its been a steady fall since around 2001 when they were priced around £800-£2000 and these are for mainstream notebooks not subnote books which follow a different trend, these tend to drop less over the same time.
