Laptop problem

I have an advent 7093 laptop, one day the screen just turned itself off so all I get is a black screen. I know the laptop is on because the power light is on when I power the laptop up. The laptop is only a couple of months old so I don't know what the problem could be.

Any ideas?

It's still under warranty so been sent back to the shop to get fixed, looks like it was the back light.
