Hi my friend has an Acer Aspire 1600 running the preinstalled XP Home with no harware changes. Recently (and it is not just on hot days) it has been getting to hot with the fan spinning hard and it shuts itself down. Anyone had similar problems and is there a simple solution. I was in the bios and could see no thermal settings.
Any help much appreciated.
