Laptop Problem

I have a laptop here and the screen has been hit and become damaged accross the top, fortunately some of the screen is still usable and I would like to find a way to adjust the laptop so that the broken part of the screen is not used, if you get my drift....

really? hmmm are you sure there isnt any registry hacks or 3rd party apps?

I would buy a new screen but the laptop isnt mine and is old, im looking for a cheap solution...
