Laptop problem

Morning all,

I bought a new acer laptop, model aspire 5612z, it was just something to work at home with so nothing too fancy.

Over the first couple of weeks I have been very impressed with it, but just recently I have noticed that the screen is not half as bright as it used to be, at first I thought it was just me, but not the screen is now quite dull.

I have re installed all the drivers with no luck, is the screen kaput? It still works and I could struggle on with it, but is is certianly not crystalbright as itis supposed to be.

I only bought the laptop 2 weeks ago from a local well known store, should I take it back there and get a replacement/refund, or wil they give me hassle and tell me to go through Acer?

Have you checked the power settings on your notebook? Check to see if you've set the brightness to maximum... :) Failing that, might be worth taking it back to the retailer, 2 weeks isn't old and they should give your a replacement or repair.
