I will try to explain this as best as possible.

I have been handed a laptop to have a look at and thought i would share the problem to see if any of you had an idea what it could be.

When you start the laptop it will not do anything until you apply pressure to the bottom right area, This area houses the hard drive for the laptop. You can go all the way to the dektop and it works fine just like any other pc/laptop, but as soon as you take the pressure away from the hard drive the system stops working, mouse, keyboard everything. BUt as soon as you apply pressure again it instantly works again, no restart needed at all. I found this quite amusing but was going to find a laptop hard drive and replace it to see if the hard drive is the only problem.

Does it sound like the Hard drive could be causing problems for the laptop and needs replaced?

Thanks again

By the sounds of it does it look like a faulty connection on the hard drive or is there a chance that it could be anywere like the motherboard etc. Never opened up a laptop before but there is a first for everything :D
