I have a laptop which i wish to connect to my Samsung 26" LE26R74BDX , am i correct saying if i connect via the VGA socket on the back of my laptop i will not get a digital picture , just Analogue picture

Anyway i can get a digital picture ? from laptop to Samsung 26" LE26R74BDX

AFAIK it is analogue, but still should look great

if you want digital you would have to use a DVI connecter

Yes i have a DVI connecter in the back of my laptop , so the other end fits into the PC Sub at back of LCD , that will give my digital ?

No it will not. DSub/PC/VGA whatever you want to call it is an analogue signal. DVI-D > DVI-D is a digital signal. DVI-A > VGA is not.
