laptop question

i was just wondering, is there any programs out there that will remove all the s**ty pre-installed useless and pointless programms off my GF's toshiba laptop. it takes about 2mins to boot and 5 mins to shutdown, there isn't much else on the laptop apart from her colege work and few mp3's. i've de-fragged it, adn changed the boot disk prioity from DVD1st to HDD1st to increase boot times, but i know that it's all the useless, pre-installed crap thats causing this.

done the ad remove stuff, and i use ccleaner all the time, theres no reason for her laptop to be this slow.
