Laptop Ram Advice Please

Hi, need some advice for a ram upgrade on my laptop, currently have a random brand stick of 256 in there, looking to upgrade to 1 gig, currently found either corsair value, crucial or random brand again, tempted to go with random brand as its the cheapest, the laptop will only be used for surfing the net and a bit of word processing, what do you guy thinks?

Shop around tbh, I got a gig of Corsair Value 3200 for £60, what prices you looking at?

currently found the corsair at 75, the crucial at 89.29 and random brand at 51, just wondering if the random brand will cause any problem, the listing does say its samsung memory

Doubt it, although it might be worth checking the warranty/guarantee, as brands such as corsair offer lifetime guarantees.
Are you after single stick or 2 x 512? cause it might be worth checking that your laptop can run 1gb sticks.

according to a memory advisor thing from a ram company (dont think i cant mention them on here) my lappy can take a max of 2 gig, and it only has 2 slots so i assumed it would be able to handle 2 x 1gig sticks
