Laptop RAM upgrade

Hi, can someone advise the right memory I need to upgrade from 8 to 16gb on my Asus GL503V laptop? Need to keep the speed of the current ram.

You could try CPUZ as that will tell you.

I would guess its 2400mhz DDR4 and only has one module in it right now (if it's stock) leaving you a memory slot free for this upgrade

Edit: is it this one? https://www.asus.com/uk/Laptops/ROG-Strix-GL503/specifications/ - though that list DDR4 2666

Have upgraded the RAM but feel like the hard drive is next bottleneck now.

Ran a hard drive bench mark - the m.2 running the OS give a 380ish mbps read speed, however, the the 1TB drive I run games from tops at 59mbps.

The 1TB 2 1/4" is a ST1000LX015.

Can anyone recommend a replacement SSD that would significantly enhance the speed? Would the laptop have an issue with 2tb size?

Google your laptop and you can find them with 2tb hard drive so should be no problem putting a 2tb ssd in.

Wouldn't be to concerned on which type as long as it's a name you recognize.
