Laptop RAM upgrade

Currently got an acer v laptop running a single 8gb stick. According to cpuz its a 5600Mhz.

I want to upgrade it to at least 16Gb, but looking at the prices i think it would be better to add another 8gb stick. Will it work if its only 4800Mhz?

Or theres a 16Gb ( 2x8 ) kit of 4800Mhz ive seen for sale reasonnably cheap. Will that be ok?

The CPU is an i5 13420H if that makes any difference.

Should do, 4800 is just a standard speed and the existing stick will have a profile for running at that.

Apart from it being a waste of the one you already have.

Id just replace the single stick for the matched pair
