Right, this is really a poke in the dark. The missus got a IBM thinkpad x41 laptop. It used to run under XP and it was fine.
Recently I have installed Windows 7 Professional on her laptop and ever since then her laptop kept on randomly poweroff. When turned back on it would inform me that previous windows did not shut down properly and asking if I would like to recover/boot pc using previous good settings.
I have no idea if it's a common problem for Win 7 (my Dell laptop running under Win 7 Ultimate is completely fine in this case). I'm never good with laptops I don't even know where to start!
I have checked the power setting, taken the battery off the laptop but no avail.
Any suggestions?
