As the title says i'm looking for a laptop and have a maximum budget of £600. The laptop will be used to play Minecraft and other similar games.

I made a thread a while back but was unable to purchase anything at the time due to changing jobs and not being paid on time but I want to buy something as soon as possible now while I can.

I've seen a few options online but i'm not sure if there's anything better knocking a round or how well these will hold up?

I've seen a Lenovo Ideapad 500 - i5 processor, 12gb ram and an AMD MESO XT graphics card for £550. I can't find anything online about that specific graphics card however.

I've also seen an MSI GL62 6QD for £599.99 - i5-6300HQ 2.3ghz, 8gb ram and a 2gb GTX 950 graphics card.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the double post but I've just come across the following for £494;

Processor
Intel Core i5-6200U Processor( 2.30GHz 1866MHz 3MB)
Operating system
Windows 10 Home 64
Display type
15.6" FHD IPS LED 1920x1080
System Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GT 940MX 2GB 2GB
Total memory
8.0GB PC4-17000 DDR4 2133 MHz
Hard drive device
2TB 5400 rpm

How well would this hold up playing minecraft?

I am looking at laptops for my daughter and she plays Sims 4, Minecraft and L4D1+2. I have been trying decide if the Intel HD graphics with an i3/i5 will cut it and looked up to £600 ish too.

I have looked at the Lenovo and that MSI and I am pretty sure the Meso XT is the M365. From what I have read the screen on the MSI is better in terms of brightness and colour accuracy.

Unless money is tight I would go with a 950 based system for better gaming, it is a shame the price jump to 960 is so great.

She hasn't asked for a gaming laptop but I have a hard time overriding my instinct to get the best gaming experience I can stretch too.
