Hi Guys,

Please could someone recommend me a laptop. Below are my requirements:-

15"+ screen size - HD resolution
Intel Core i7 cpu
Discrete graphics
750gb+ hard disk capacity
8gb RAM
Maximum spend = £850

Laptop will be used for daily work, mid-to-light gaming, media/entertainment.
Im after the most bang for buck!

I need it quite urgently so your prompt responses would be appreciated.

Many Thanks, much appreciated!

Dell xps 15z on the out let for about 600 after tax with all those specs. I have just got one myself.

Otherwise try the Clevo laptops. They look great bang for buck.

I am in the market for a laptop myself and have been spying the 15z on outlet for amazing prices but am a little worried at quite a few stories about really bad build quality, the trim coming off and such. How are you finding the laptop looks/feel?

Mine is due to arrive just after I go on holiday next week so if you can wait till the following week I will give a review.

I must admit that it was the review on the inspiron on this forum which gave me the confidence to go with dell.

Plus they do have some pretty good customer service so I will be straight to them with any issues.

Would appreciate that matey cheers :) Yeah dell in general have good build quality, the l502x is meant to be good quality but bulky. I just remember reading a thread on here where someone had no end of trouble. Also anandtech updated its review of the laptop to point out the issues that had cropped up too.

For the prices i have seen them go for on the outlet tho, i mite just pick one up anyway lol

Thanks for your responses guys. Its actually for my brother and he already has a Dell so wanted something different. But looking around it seems that they offer the best bang for buck! Any thoughts on this spec?
