Laptop Recommendation

Some months ago I had planned to build a new rig, but things changed and it didn't happen. I have also been toying with the idea of getting a laptop as I could really do with the added mobility (I LAN a lot so along with the other uses, not having to take all my stuff by car would be a huge advantage), and having moved house this week, I could really do with more space too. I've had look around various forums and other sites, and most seem to recommend Clevo, Lenovo, and Sager laptops, but I'm not entirely sure which to go with. I'd mainly be playing MMOs (Guild Wars 2, Rift, The Old Republic, FFXIV when it gets re-released, etc.) and some other games like Rome 2, CoH 2, Skyrim, and Planetside 2. Ideally I'd also like to be able to connect the laptop to my TV by HDMI (but a nice display on the laptop itself would be good too).

Which laptop would you guys recommend for a budget of £1000? I don't mind going a little over if it's going to make a big difference.

Edit: Is the Alienware M17x worth it? I've always wanted an Alienware but I couldn't justify the price (also just noticed it's currently £300 off on the site).

For £1000, I'd go with this OcUK custom laptop (Clevo unit I think), pimp up the spec with a Samsung 250GB and ram from 4GB to 8GB, CPU from i7-4700MQ to i7-4800MQ.

The GTX765M 2GB is basically a slightly lower clocked desktop GTX650Ti (not the 192-bit memory bus 2GB boost version, but the 128-bit memory bus version with 2GB of vram). To give you and idea, the desktop's GTX650Ti is roughly around same speed as the 5850/6870...and since the GTX765M 2GB has slightly lower clock, it would put it at roughly 6850/GTX460 performance.

It's not gonna be able to let your to run the latest games at highest settings at 1920x1080, but it should handle high or med-high pretty well for that res. If you want to run graphic at higher settings, you'd need to invest more money on getting a laptop with faster graphic.

Thanks for the advice :) having looked at some more laptops, I think I'll increase my budget (more around the £1500 range, but again if it's worth it I guess I could go over) - are there any others you'd recommend?
