Hi Guys MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Im looking for an I5/7 laptop for around £600-£700 with 15"6 screen and gigabit connection, It also must have an option to add an NVME pcie drive

Any ideas? and if it has a backlit keyboard if possible

Cheers Del

Merry Christmas, hope you've had proper snowy weather... unless that means "national emergency" in there.

ThinkPad E580 and L580 have backlit keyboard selectable in configuration.

E580 with 8250U and 256GB NVMe drive would fit to that budget.
Thanks to pressure from AMD/Ryzen, i3 is only dual core CPU, all others are 4c/8t models
Also you'll want 8GB of memory and 1920x1080 IPS display.

It has separate M.2 slot and 2.5" drive bay, so it would be easy to expand storage space.

sorry to hijack this post, but what makes the E580 better than similiar spec-ed but cheaper laptops like the Dell inspiron 5580 or HP Pavilion 15, all have the same Core i5 CPU, 8Gb of RAM and 256 M2 SSD drives? The E580 is £100 more.
Thanks
