I have a customer who has a power fault with their Toshiba Laptop.
Intermittent connection between laptop and charger. The charger checks out OK so I am guessing the DC socket on the laptop is at fault.

Individual component repair of laptops is something I do not really want to get involved with, can anybody recommend a good laptop repair company, preferably in the Bristol/Bath area but I am open to any recommendation.

Cheers,

Chris

mercom.org It's about £40 for them to sort that out. You will probably need to strip the mainboard out of it and send them it.

ah yes also some tosh laptops are so prone to this that tosh have extended the warranty on that particular problem. Maybe you can just charge him for your time you spent arguing with tosh and getting them to sort it out.

The warranty expired last December (according to the Tosh service site), do you think I should give Tosh a ring? Do you know if they offer a repair service?

I seem to get more customers with faulty Tosh Satellites than any other brand and product range.
