Laptop replacement

This may cause some laughs but is a genuine question.

My laptop is very old and slow so I want to replace it with a PC.

I use it only for web browsing, as a media centre and the only game I play is Minecraft.

I am getting only 10fps currently even with the graphics settings turned down which is pathetic.

I would like to be able to play at a decent fps with the settings at max.

Could you spec me a system that would meet my needs for the lowest budget possible (under £1200).

Thanks in advance.

I don't need monitor, keyboard or mouse but do need OS.

No don't need it for anything else and would like to stay as cheap as possible but that is my maximum budget hopefully it wont cost that much

Hi thanks for your quick responses. I didn't realise it could be done for so cheaply. I'm particularly interested in the Intel build. Would that be able to handle everything on maximum settings at high frame rates? Would it be worth it/not much extra to upgrade to an i5 or more RAM? Or would this be completely unnecessary. I'm thinking in terms of future proofing a bit. Thanks for all the help so far it is much appreciated.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your advise so far. Due to my lack of knowledge and confidence in building PC's would any of the pre built systems meet my needs as sufficiently? I think I would be more comfortable just getting something out of the box already built although I understand this will be more expensive.

Any suggestions?
