laptop rest

i'm looking for something to rest my laptop on when it's on my lap as it gets to hot to have it just sitting there, but i don't fancy one of those laptop coolers with fans in it, any ideas

anything flat and solid will do, no notebook computer should be used on your on your lap directly that has vents on the bottom as this will severely hinder cooling, laptops now produce much more heat, and it will throttle down due to over heating, you also risk the chance of scorching yourself.
