i have an advent modena m100 blue laptop 15.6" screen that has broke so please can anybody help me on were to get a replacement/is it easy or hard to replace by my self?

Oh dear.
warranty still valid?
Warranty won't cover accidental damage unless that product is chosen :(

Do you have accidental house hold insurance?

They are quite easy to replace but expensive to buy. I would contact the manufacturer or retailer regarding the replacement in order to preserve any warranty it may have.

DSG stores will so do it for you, at up to £239

If you're careful no one will ever know it's had a new screen.

You will need a pick, like a plastic guitar plectrum, something sharp like a stanley knife and a small phillips screw driver. Use the knife to remove the rubber/plastic bungs over the screws (usually 4 but can be 2-8), the screw driver to remove the screws around the bezel. Use the pick to GENTLY ply the bezel away from the lid, taking care not to break the clips that hold it in.

When you have the bezel off you may need to unscrew the lid at the bottom where the hinges are. The screen will be held in by 6-8 tiny screws. On LED screens there is only one connector, a small ribbon jobbie. Carefully pull this out. Then reverse the process ;)

I think the Modena screen is a bit different to most laptops, after taking the scews out the front of the bezel the whole back section slides in one direction then lifts off. Then there is black tape to remove and screws in the side of the hinge brackets, also remove the battery when connecting or disconnecting an LED screen if the cable goes in at an angle it can blow the mainboard.
