Laptop screen Broken

Last night my girlfriend closed the lid of my laptop with a pen drive in the way, she has broken the screen.

I was wondering how much it would cost roughly to get replaced. The laptop is an acer ferrari 4000 with 15.4 inch widescreen and is glossy.

I just want a rough idea, has anyone had a laptop screen replaced before and how much did it cost?

The laptop cost me £750 and I can go up to about £200 for the repair.

Google laptop screen repair. Careful discussing it on here as several places that do it are effectively competitors.

My sister broke her (rented) laptop screen at university. It turned out that it was covered by the household contents insurance and she didn't have to pay a penny. Check your policy for accidental damage.
