sorry for the punctution but im typing with one hand and twisting my screen with the other

whereabouts should i look for a connection that if ots not clean, i get horizontal lines and a frozen screen? someimes i can whack the top of the screen and it sorts it, or holding it twisted like this always works.

thinking the hinges somewhere?
its a toshiba about 3 years old
thanks

Connector is at the back of the screen about 2 inches from the top, pop the bezel off by removing the little rubber/vinyl screw masks, take the screws out, ease the bezel towards you using your fingernails around all four sides, run a credit card around the edge gap if it needs it to break, you can than see the scews down the hinge brackets holding the screen in place, take these out then you have easy access to the screen connector.

Be careful and take you time good luck !

I think your screen is bucked matey. Have a look around for a replacement, they are coming down in price big time these days and should be under 100 quid.

Cheers, I'll take it apart tonight and if I can't fix it then it's new laptop time. Not worth spending money on it, it was poverty spec about 3 years ago.
