Laptop Screen Flickering/Flashing HELP!

Hi everybody

I had a problem with my latop's screen this afternoon and im concerned about it happening again.

My laptop is 27 months old and for the most part ive never had any trouble with it, however a while ago it froze up and i sent it away to toshiba be be repaired. They told me the video chip or something to do with the graphics card, im not very technically minded im afraid was faulty and had failed and had to be replaced.

I got my laptop back and it's been perfect ever since however this afternoon for some reason the screen started flickering/flashing like crazy, kind of like a 100 times a second it seemed, with much patience i was able to properly switch the laptop off, although with the screen flickering like crazy it wasn't easy, after leaving it for a few minutes i turned the laptop back on and so far it hasn't done it again but am concerned it will.

Could anyone take a guess or possibly tell me what you think the problem may be and why this happened and if you think it could happen again?

I would really APPRECIATE any help you could give me.

Did you try moving the screen tilt to see if it was a faulty connection? My laptop screen occasionally flashes white/grey for a split second when I adjust the tilt.

Sounds likes the backlight could have a lose connection or has been eaten away by rubbing on the hinge. I personally would leave it till it resurfaces regulary.

I'm afraid i didn't tilt the screen, i didn't even think about touching it to be honest, as soon as my screen started doing this i turned it off and then switched it back on and so far so good but if my screen does this again i will try tilting the screen to see if that helps, thanks

Will do, i'll leave it as it is at the moment and see if this happens again, hopefully it was just a one off, but if it happens again i'll let you all know, thanks
