Laptop scrolling problem

I have just got a Acer 3003LC. The touchpad is using the latest Synaptics drivers. The touchpad works fine but one small annoying thing. I use Firefox as my main browser and the scrolling on the touchpad does not work. It works fine in other applications like IE and Word.

any advice?

sounds a little strange, if it works in ie it should work in ff, but it could be a problem with ff at this point.

any ideas how i can fix it so it works in firefox?

unsure off hand i am at work at the moment, we have IE, try checking in all the options for the browser.

I have but nothing seems to solve the problem. any1 have an acer 3000 series laptop? the touchpad scroll work in firefox for u?
