Laptop shuts down?

Got a 6 month old laptop from maxdata and when scanning large images the laptop just turns itsself of at the end of the scan?

Smaller scans work fine and i get no bsod from windows but sometimes the event viewer shows the scanner application as an error and then hang, but not all the time.

The laptop has 512mb of ram and after speaking to the scanner manufacturer doing the size of images i am it should be fine and all is well within spec.

And it doesnt do it all the time? any ideas?

If the scanning software is to blame reinstall it. If it is the drivers update and reinstall them. If that doesn't help see if you can find some other scanning software.

Reinstalled the scanning software alreay and the drivers, as this is not your normal scanner it has to run the software provided...


Could this be a usb thing?
