I am considering getting a laptop to assist me when I am doing some work on the side at customers houses.
The other day I had a problem with a customers wireless but the PC was upstairs and the router was downstairs, it occurred to me that if I had a laptop I could just plug in the Ethernet and read the code from the router setup.
What useful software is there out there that could turn a laptop into more of a tool for my needs?
The only think I can think of is maybe some kind of data recovery software so I can do USB drives/memory cards in their home.
I am sure people out there have been in my situation so come on, give me ideas and make me buy a laptop!!
