I thought this deserved to be in this forum as opposed to Sound City. Im looking to buy a laptop shortly, one of its primary uses will be to make digital mixsets using Mixmesiter and/or Ableton. I'd prefer to have a decent sound card internal, as opposed to have lots of mess with an external USB one.
I know nothing about Laptop internals. Are most laptops powered by crappy onboard or do any really excel with decent hardware sound? My main concern is not so much overall sound quality, but have enough processing power to have some overall smoothness with the mentioned apps.
Budget is bottom end at £400-£500.
