Hi all

A friend in work is buying a new laptop - I dont think he needs one but his mind is made up

Im a fan of the 2nd hand dell laptops - anyway hes gone from a budget of £550 to suddenly £900 or so ......no idea why

Hes thinking of the Dell 17R Special Edition but I personally wouldnt spend £900 or so on a laptop

Ive been recommending the XPS range perhaps the following spec or something along these lines anyway from the 2nd hand laptop range

The XPS 17 seems OK from reviews for £600 or so seems pretty good - the fan maybe a bit loud

Anybody have anything other laptops recommendations

Outlet have better spec with a lower price. look for the Inspiron 17R - 7720 comes with 3rd gen CPU and GT 650M.

Regards.

PS Then buy all the upgrades (RAM, SSD, HDD, Blu-ray) from OcUK :)
