My Mum is after a laptop as her desktop is taking up too much space and she wants the mobility of a laptop. Will be used mainly for web, photos, email, etc - nothing too taxing. Needs to have built in wireless, but I guess most do nowadays.

The cheap supermarket have a new Medion out - the MD96850 for £449 - is the spec any good for that price, or will it be overspecced and can you suggest something better (and cheaper) for what she wants? Comes with a 3yr warranty which is good though.

Spec -

Just go for the cheapest dell option i guess. I think that would be the inspiron 1525.

Or the Vostro's would do the job also.

Just over £300 i think.

For her uses you dont really need anything too powerful.
