Whats a good laptop stand ?

I'd use a piece of folded aluminium with rubber feet. It'll help radiate heat from the base.

Do you want a laptop stand to prop the screen up and use an external keyboard?

I tried the original Logitech Alto but the 3 laptops I tried kept slipping off. The rubber lip at the bottom wasn't wide enough. I returned it.

Logitech now have a new Alto with a better stand and the keyboard is detached. With the original stand the keyboard was attached to the stand. Even when typing lightly the stand would shake.

I might get the new Alto stand but not for another month, already spend lots of upgrades this month
