Laptop suddenly not picking up home network?

This laptop used to pick up our wirelss home network and now for some reason doesnt (although it shows every other avail network in the area).

Rebooted the router a few times also uninstalled the network card and drivers and re installed (XP) also checked device manager which shows the network card as being present and ready for use. However when it comes to connecting or seeing our Netgear router its as though it doesnt exist, all other lappys and pcs can see/connect to it fine.

We also actioned a system restore but this again has made no difference, can anyone advise on what other action we may be able to take to resolve this issue?

I would see that happen to my laptop too at times, just as you have described.
I have to reset the router and its get it going again.
Using BT Infinity BTW.

Thanks but this lappy its is not working even though it has before nothing has changed ie software or hardware since it was able to connect and now it wont as it doesnt see the network but does everyone elses.

Maybe the wireless channel the router is broadcasting on is full of other traffic. Try changing it.

Thanks for the info come to think of it why didnt I think of that? Will try it out and if that doesnt work well who knows
