Needs to be one of these three unfortunatly.
Not for me but which one would you suggest?
I am thinking the i3 even with 3gb ram - only to be used for a average joe bloggs web browsing etc. second the Toshiba.

Toshiba L750-1DL
Intel® Pentium® processor B950
clock speed : 2.10 GHz
Front Side Bus : 1,333 MHz
3rd level cache : 2 MB
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit

System memory standard : 3,072 (2,048 + 1,024) MB
maximum expandability : 8,192 MB
technology : DDR3 RAM (1,333 MHz)
Hard disk capacity : 320 Gb 5,400 rpm

or

Samsung RV510
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium (64b) Operating System
Intel GMA 4500M (Integrated Graphics)
500GB (5400rpm S-ATA) Hard Drive (HDD)
Intel® Celeron® Processor T3500 (2.1GHz, 1MB) (does it even have L3?)
4GB (DDR3) Graphic Memory (looked everywhere including manufacturer site and no speed given!! most probably 1333)

or

Acer 5733
CPU: Intel® Core i3-370M (2.4GHz, 3MB L3 cache)
Chipset: HM55
Graphics: UMA
RAM: 3 GB RAM
HDD: 320 GB (5400 Rpm)
Battery: 6 cell
(+£20 = 6gb ram and 640gb HDD)
OS: Windows 7® Home Premium 64-bit

Thank You!

Well the I3 370M in the Acer is a last gen processor unlike the Sandybridge B950 in the Toshiba, however the I3 does have a higher clockspeed and hyper threading and VT-x although unless you are running any virtual machines, that wont be useful, the hyperthreading will be though.

I would go with the Acer, with the 6GB of ram and 640GB hd upgrade ...if it really is only 20 pounds, I could believe the memory upgrade is but the hard drive too! ...if so that'd be a serious bargain.

Bear in mind though that the Acer 5733 does not have HDMI out, which may be of consideration if you plan to connect it to a tv at all.

I really didnt think that any of these Laptops would use the newer Sandybridge.

So its a toss between that and the i3: but yes the upgrade does include the HDD and 6gb RAM :) I dont think the HDMI would be greatly missed.

edit:
Got the acer thank you for ya help!
