Laptop suitable for Voice Banking (Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC))

Hi all,

A close family friend has just been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, which is developing fast.

I am looking for advice with what sort of power I'll need in a suitable laptop. No need for a powerful GPU, but lots of ram and a powerful CPU? Or, just any basic laptop.

I really want to get this right, so will appreciate any advice.

This post got a bit long and waffly, but I hope it helps you towards your goal.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Thankfully he'll be having experts do the actual recording, and training in software use, I just need to source the laptop - As you say, I don't believe it's anything too extreme needed, so quite an easy buy.
